COVID-19 Updates & Resources

The CDC recently updated its guidance and now recommends masking when indoors for vaccinated people in substantial or high transmission areas, as well as continuing to recommend masking for unvaccinated people.

The rationale for the change is that recent evidence has shown that vaccinated people, while less likely to suffer severe illness, do still carry and pass the Delta variant of COVID-19. Currently, many counties in the regions we serve have high or substantial transmission rates, and relatively low vaccination and testing rates.

In order to maintain our commitment to protecting our patients, staff and community, and to follow the guidance of healthcare officials, we are requiring masks in our facility.  The Community Health Clinic has patients, visitors, and family that are unvaccinated and/or immunocompromised and we consider it our obligation to exercise caution to protect others.

We stay committed to responding to this health crisis in whatever way is required to ensure that we minimize the risk for transmitting a virus that may endanger the lives of our patients and others in our community. Thank you for your continued understanding and cooperation.
