The Community Health Clinic
The Community Health Clinic is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works to provide specialized genetic medical care primarily to the Plain communities in northern Indiana. The purpose is to support operational costs to The Community Health Clinic, Inc. To contribute to the CHC, donate online via PayPal or donations can be sent to: The Community Health Clinic 730 E North Street PO Box 329 Shipshewana, IN 46565.
The Community Health Clinic Endowment
The Community Health Clinic Endowment is a dedicated fund currently housed at The Community Foundation of Elkhart County (CFEC). All contributions to this endowment remain invested, allowing the principal to grow annually through earned interest. Each year, the CHC has access up to 5% of the principal to support ongoing operational needs. This endowment was created to ensure long-term, sustainable funding for the CHC. Contribute online to the CHC Endowment Fund, or funds can be sent to and specify The Community Health Clinic in the memo: The Community Foundation of Elkhart County PO Box 2932 Elkhart, IN 46515.
Funding Model
The Community Health Clinic was developed based on a budget evenly divided between patient fees, grants, and fundraising. While we strive to meet this model, the CHC’s current patient charges currently make up approximately 12% of the budget.
Your online donation will help eliminate this gap and ensure that patients and families can continue to access specialized care for a reasonable cost.
