Marissa TestA, MS, RDN, CSP, LD • registered DietiTian

Marissa Testa is one of our metabolic dietitians working remotely at the Community Health Clinic. A registered dietitian since 2012, Marissa has dedicated her career to caring for children with complex medical needs, with a special passion for inborn errors of metabolism.

She began her career at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in the Human and Molecular Genetics department, where she developed a deep commitment to supporting patients and families navigating rare genetic conditions and feeding plans. She believes metabolic nutrition is both a science and an art—requiring precision, creativity, and compassionate partnership with families. After a year and a half in Genetics, she helped develop the Complex Healthcare Clinic, encompassing the Feeding Clinic, Cerebral Palsy Clinic, and Tube Feed Clinic, collectively serving over 1,000 patients annually.

Marissa is especially passionate about empowering families through education. She strives to translate complex metabolic pathways, lab trends, and nutrition prescriptions into practical, manageable plans that families can confidently implement at home. Her particular interests include breastfeeding support, enteral nutrition, home-blended tube feeding, and helping parents feel equipped—not overwhelmed—by their child’s feeding plan.

Marissa lives in Columbus, Ohio with her husband, Michael, and homeschools their three children: Giana (11), Leo (9), and Liza (7). She enjoys cooking, baking, hiking, and crafting alongside her children.
