Kaylynn McKinney, MS, is a genetic counselor at the Community Health Clinic. She first joined the clinic as a student during her clinical rotation as part of her master’s program and began working full time after in August 2026.
Kaylynn earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg and her Master of Science in Genetic Counseling from Boise State University. Prior to becoming a genetic counselor, she worked as a genetic counseling assistant at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital and also worked as a research coordinator at the University of Pittsburgh, where she contributed to brain imaging studies focused on substance addiction.
She enjoys traveling, exploring local farmers markets, thrifting and spending quality time with her family - especially her nephew. She is also a devoted animal lover who cherishes time with her pets.
